On Monday, November 11, a new member orientation was held at the Aobadai Community Development Center. In the first session, committee members Kobayashi and Tsuchiya explained what the Junior Chamber International is all about; in the second session, new members delivered three-minute speeches. Finally, as a graduating member, Auditor Kanasashi gave a special talk. For those who attended — especially the new members — it was a valuable opportunity to learn about the purpose and philosophy behind the activities of the Junior Chamber International.
The Junior Chamber International is an age-restricted organization open to members between the ages of 20 and 40, with new members joining each year and members who reach 40 graduating. As membership turns over annually, events like this are held to pass on the organization's history and traditions and to share its spirit. This year, 10 new members joined. While the orientation was primarily informational, we hope that going forward, everyone will actively participate in as many activities as possible and gain many valuable experiences.
